More recently, since the children stopped going to ski school, we have booked directly with Pierre Vacances and found some good hotels to stay in. We particularly enjoyed our stay at Les Terrasses d'Eos in Flaine which was ski-in and ski-out and will a rooftop swimming pool which was such fun swimming outside with snow on the sides! But these still end up being expensive skiing holidays.
So, this year we decided to try Air BnB and were really impressed with the choice available. Our children are now 14 and 16 years old so we don’t have to be so close the slopes, so we’ve decided to book a chalet close to the town centre to allow us more options in the evening. There is plenty to choose from and we have booked a fabulous chalet with 4 bedrooms, which the teenagers are ecstatic about as they have always had to share! Fully equipped and decorated like I imagined a ski chalet should be and with a beautiful view of the mountains. All for far less than our previous holidays.
So, if you’ve never thought about Air BnB for your family ski holiday its worth having a browse.
